The first dog of GTA VI

New game. New interactions. The first one everybody talked about was petting a dog.

Vice City, USA.

Rockstar’s extended look at Grand Theft Auto VI is nearly 27 minutes of in-game footage on PlayStation 5. At 1:52, Jason Duval walks into an apartment building for a pickup and finds a dog in the hallway. He stops, a prompt comes up, he crouches, and he pets him. “How you doin’, big guy?”

An interaction, not a cutscene: walk up, take the prompt, Jason gets down to his level, the dog leans in. Rockstar showed cars, boats, phones and a whole state, and this is the moment people clipped. The first dog in GTA VI, and the first thing in the game that gets petted.

Jason Duval is one of the two leads, with Lucia Caminos. Rockstar’s bio: grew up around grifters and crooks, a stint in the Army, then the Keys, working for local drug runners. Wants an easy life, keeps getting the hard one. One soft spot on record: this dog.

Jason calls him big guy. The HUD calls him DOG. $BIG is the memecoin of the first dog of GTA VI. Fan token on Solana, no utility, no roadmap. Just the dog.

Watch him at 1:52 in Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look.
